I am sure you are all wondering, why did I pick the name WeeFish Mama?

Let me tell you a story…

I was 12, and my mother said when we had finished our chores we could go fishing. We were so excited and rushed about getting them done. My two older brothers got finished before I did and started calling for me. “Alisha!!! AAALLLEEESSHHHAAA!!!..” It turned into a chant, “We are going fishing. Alisha! We go fishing. Weeeee Fiiiiish!!!! Hurry Up! We Fish!! Wee Fish!!! Wee Fish!!!” With a big grin, chuckling at them, I ran up and we walked together to the river. Wee Fish became my nickname after that day.

But there is a second reason I wanted to use that title, and it is the reference to the proverb, “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” On this blog you will learn how to fish, and how to do it with your family.
